HUNTER'S SAFETY AND EDUCATION INFORMATION

West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office sponsored Hunter Safety Course has been scheduled for Friday, October 26, 2018, 5:00pm-9:00pm and Saturday, October 27, 2018, 9:00am-3:30pm. Participants must attend both days to be certified!!

 Participants must have reached their 10th birthday by ending date of class to be certified for life. Those between ages 7 and 9 are welcomed to attend but will only be certified for that calendar year and must return annually until age 10.

Location of classes WBR 4-H Building 152 Turner Road Port Allen LA

Preregistration is required, call West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at 225-382-5200 For preregistration, Please have full name, correct mailing address, date of birth, call back number and email address of each participant to be registered.

3/2/2011 Child Safety Seat Clinic -

Sgt. Leo Fontenot is certified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician by the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force and the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
 
4/1/2011 Junior Deputy Program -

This program is designed to instill in each participant a sense of community involvement, strength of character, patriotism, morality, integrity and a desire to give back to the community. To register for this event, click on the "Event Registration" link.

 
11/10/2012Lady Beware -
This program teaches women about the factors influencing sexual assault, gives them a heightened awareness of their surroundings and provides them with practical response techniques to situations.


 
7/8/2014 AARP Driver Safety Program -

The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest classroom refresher course designed especially for drivers age 50 and older. 

 
9/25/2015 - 9/26/2015 Hunter Safety Education -
A required safety course for those born after 9/1/1969 and wanting to obtain a hunting license.  Required by most states for out of state hunters wanting to purchase an out of state hunting permit. You must attend both days and be 10+ years old.The following information is required for registration:  Full name, date of birth, mailing address and social security number.
