Competitive Team Tournament Bridge
We will have our 1st Competitive Team Bridge game on July 22nd at 10:00am at the WBR Senior Center. You will need to call Elisa Tubbs, 456-7000, to register your team of four (4). This game will be played on the fourth Friday of every month. Bridge etiquette will be strictly enforced!

Grief Recovery Meetings

Grief Recovery Meetings will be on July 11th & 18th at the WBR Senior Spirit Center from 6:30pm-7:30pm. If you need more information, please call Joanna Hynes, 924-6621.

WBR Museum Events
Courting Style: Women's Tennis Fashion This Exhibit opened June 18th and is a traveling exhibit from the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island. You will enjoy artifacts of early styles and fabrics from 1870 to present worn by the great iconic players. Come and view the dresses designed by Ted Tinling.

CHAPEAUX PARTY
WBR Museum

The Chapeaux Party will be Wednesday, July 20th, from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the WBR Museum. Come and learn how to make a fancy and festive fascinator! You will need a reservation to experience the traditions of British Millinery. To register, please call 336-2422 or email: chapeauxparty@gmail.com The participation fee is $50 per person. Christmas in July Card Party
July 25th
The WBR Historical Association will hold a Card Party Fundraiser on July 25th from 10:00am-3:00pm at the WBR Community Center in Port Allen. The cost is $30 per player and includes lunch and access to door prizes. To register, please contact Amanda Moak, 300-4674 or 336-2422. Registration forms are available at the WBR Senior Spirit Center.

Farewell to Fr. Matt Lorrain & Happy Retirement to Carolyn Dupuy!

On June 30th, Fr. Matt Lorrain and Carolyn Dupuy left St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Father Matt attended Senior Spirit trips with us, allowed us the use of SJB facilities, and encouraged our group in faith and community activities. Carolyn retired as the Bookkeeper from SJB and was also our bookkeeper for all the fantastic trips we took! Now she will get to travel with us! THANK YOU both for your services to our Group!
